ICYMI: Here are some key take-outs from the Q&A
Q: Where does the responsibility for the security of Microsoft begin and end?
A: Before we look at any software, we must note that security starts with awareness. Users must be aware and take all reasonable precautions.
MS takes control of the application layer, and they are responsible for the infrastructure of these systems. Then there’s a shared responsibility between the business owner and the users who are accessing the applications.
Q: Where does Link-Up ICT come in?
A: Link-Up ICT handles imperative business pillars such as access and connectivity, firewall implementations, and policies to protect the business at the point of entry. We also manage your local area network, infrastructure, wi-fi network, network configurations, and virtual LANS to keep business data over business wi-fi and guests are confined to guest wi-fi.
Q: What attracted you to business central?
A: While we used smart technology to manage our customers’ IT and to provide service, but, our back-end and back-office were using multiple systems.
Our goal was to find something that we could log into on a single platform for access to information throughout the organisation’s different departments. We wanted ease of use and to eliminate errors (from data capturing between systems).
Q: What are some of the factors that made you choose business central for Link-Up ICT?
A: We compared many products locally and abroad, but the seamless integration available with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central was one of the swing factors. We were already using many MS apps.
Now we have superior efficiency.
Cost, ease of implementation, scalability and customisation were other contributing factors.
